What it does
Apri is a combination birth control pill that has 0.15 mg desogestrel and 0.03 mg ethinyl estradiol to prevent pregnancy.

Side effects
Headaches, Nausea and vomiting, Fluid retention, Weight gain or loss, Vaginal bleeding between periods, Bloating, Breast tenderness. Some serious side effects that may occur are high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, and blood clots.
Overdose
If someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing, call 911. Otherwise, call a poison control center right away. US residents can call their local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Symptoms of overdose may include severe nausea and vomiting, sudden/unusual vaginal bleeding.
Who should not use this product?
History of breast cancer, endometrial cancer, liver disease, cholestatic jaundice of pregnancy or jaundice with prior OCP use, pregnancy, and undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding. coadministration with certain hepatitis C drug combinations. History of blood clots, cerebrovascular disease, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus with vascular disease, hypertension (severe or uncontrolled, heart disease, headaches, major surgery with prolonged immobilization, and women >35 years of age who smoke.
