The EluRyng is a small, flexible ring that a women inserts into her vagina once a month to prevent pregnancy. It stays there for a three week period and is taken out for the last week of the month. The EluRyng contains Ethinyl estradiol 0.015 mg and etonogestrel 0.12 mg per 24 hours.

Some serious side effects that may occur are Toxic shock syndrome, high blood pressure, heart attack, impaired glucose tolerance, gallbladder disease, blood clots, decreased liver function, severe headaches, stroke, and vaginal ulcers.
If someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing, call 911. Otherwise, call a poison control center right away. US residents can call their local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Symptoms of overdose may include severe nausea and vomiting, sudden/unusual vaginal bleeding.
If you are pregnant. If you have breast cancer, hepatic tumors or hepatic disease, undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding; concomitant use of hepatitis C drugs. If you have a history of blood clots, stroke, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus with vascular disease, hypertension (uncontrolled), headaches, migraine headaches, thrombogenic valvular or rhythm diseases of the heart, women >35 years who smoke.
