Xulane is a combination birth control patch that contains Ethinyl estradiol 35 mcg and norelgestromin 150 mcg per day. Apply and change the Xulane patch each week for 3 weeks, then go patch-free for the 4th week.
Application site reaction, abdominal pain, nausea, headache, mood changes, breast tenderness, and irregular bleeding. Some serious side effects may include high blood pressure, heart attack, gallbladder disease, pancreatitis, blood clots, and liver disease.

US residents can call their local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Symptoms of overdose may include severe nausea and vomiting, sudden/unusual vaginal bleeding.
If you have history of breast cancer or other estrogen- or progestin-dependent neoplasms, BMI ≥30 kg/m2, liver disease, pregnancy, undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding; use of certain hepatitis C drug combinations. Use is also contraindicated in women at high risk for blood clots for example, women with: Cerebrovascular disease, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus with vascular disease. Women with hypertension (uncontrolled), headaches, migraine headaches, thrombogenic valvular or rhythm diseases of the heart, women >35 years of age who smoke.
