Nausea, headache, bloating, breast tenderness, weight changes, and extremity swelling. Irregular periods. Serious side effects include heart attack, stroke, and blood clots.
If someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing, call 911. Otherwise, call a poison control center right away. US residents can call their local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Symptoms of overdose may include severe nausea and vomiting, sudden/unusual vaginal bleeding.
Who should not take it: If you are pregnant. If you have breast cancer, liver disease, undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding; concomitant use of hepatitis C drugs. If you have history of blood clots, stroke, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus with vascular disease, hypertension (uncontrolled), headaches, migraine headaches, thrombogenic valvular or rhythm diseases of the heart, women >35 years who smoke.
