Azurette is a combination pill that contains 0.15mg of desogestrel and 0.02mg of ethinyl estradiol. Each pack contains 21 active pills, followed by 2 hormone-free 'reminder' pills, and then 5 low-dose estrogen pills that contain Ethinyl estradiol 0.01 mg.

History of breast cancer, endometrial cancer, liver disease, cholestatic jaundice of pregnancy or jaundice with prior OCP use, pregnancy, and undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding. coadministration with certain hepatitis C drug combinations. History of blood clots, stroke, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus with vascular disease, hypertension (severe or uncontrolled, heart disease, headaches, major surgery with prolonged immobilization, and women >35 years of age who smoke.
